Well, there you go. An emotional rollercoaster of a live episode of EastEnders finally revealed that it was that minx Stacey Slater who knocked off Archie Mitchell. There have been many twists and turns along the way, but after two long months, several incorrect arrests and another death, we now know the truth.
The live episode itself was excellently done – I’m sure eagled eyed viewers and pedants will be able to point out several things that went wrong, including Peggy calling Janine “June” and Ian in a fit of rage telling Phil to “slop” smashing up his house. The highlight in terms of gaffs though has to be Max and his impression of “student makes himself sick to continue drinking”, as the camera caught him attempting to throw up with the classic fingers down throat technique following Bradley’s demise.
Speaking of Bradley, it was a sad way to see the ginger one leave Albert Square, but one that will no doubt go down in soap history. EastEnders has lost one of its best characters, but his departure will throw up many future storylines as Max attempts to deal with more grief in his life, as well as knowing the fact that his son died accused of murder, when it was infact his newly-wed wife who did it.
Still, at least that means Stacey will be absolved of all blame as its “case closed” (for now!), and hopefully she will get back to appearing looking like this in the future:
