Is it me, or does virtually EVERY resident of Summer Bay just leave their front doors open? When a new resident rocks up to stay at the Caravan Park, they usually wander straight into Miles’ humble abode. Having just watched an episode from the beginning of March (bad fan, I know), Palmer walked straight into Leah’s house due to the front door being open – and this is a woman who is having PANIC ATTACKS owing to the race riots!

Irene’s back door seems to be constantly open to any Tom, Dick or Skippy who decides to enter it (obviously I mean to her house, not her bottom). Only Aden seems to have any sort of security sense whereby the front door isn’t just left open.

You’d think in a town like Summer Bay people would be extremely security conscious. After all, in the recent past there has been a race riot, a people smuggling ring and a stalker who wanted to kill the entire population. Bloody hell, if I lived there I’d be scared to leave the house (preferably locked in a bedroom with Martha), let alone leave the door open to invite any intruder in.

Having never been to Australia, I can’t comment whether this is a regular occurence there in real life. Maybe the Aussies have just accepted that, being a nation of convicts, they are going to get robbed regardless, and rather than forcing the burglar to break and enter and cause damage, wandering through the front door is far easier for everyone concerned..

Answers on a postcard please…

haroldbishopsmallWho’d have thought it? Harold Bishop is a swinger!
The following video turned up on the internet yesterday where Harold describes in graphic detail just what he got up to when he attended a swingers party. No wonder he left Ramsay Street in his camper van, he’s off round Australia having mass sexual encounters with any man, woman and beast that he can find. What a hero!

First things first – Leon is one lucky man to have got Lucy pregnant. Obviously, the result isn’t the best thing to happen for all concerned (bar Jane), but the action before the result definitely comes under the umbrella of lucky.

Anyway, now that she is in the family way, the storyline itself is playing out as something of a comedy, which I’m not sure was the intention. Jane must have used that catchphrase “Ian, a word” a record number of times since he was told about Lucy’s pregnancy, usually resulting in a telling off for Walford’s answer to Lord Sugar.

His attempts to put Lucy off the pregnancy have extended from forcing her into some form of pregnancy suit to show how fat she is going to get, to holding a “Family Movie Evening” complete with fish and chips, only to present his movie as being a woman going through what looked like a particularly traumatic birth from start to end. Comedy gold all the way.

While most impressionable teens would have looked at these signs and ran a mile, Lucy is made of sterner stuff – or she certainly seems to be at this point. Undeterred by Ian and his attempts to put her off, she has resolutely sworn to have this baby and present it to Jane.

It will be interesting to see how this storyline pans out – Lucy seems to be coping fine at the minute, but nine months down the line and when she has to give up her kid it could be a very different story. Will she be able to give it up? Is it actually legal?  What are the other residents of the Square going to make of the whole scenario when it comes out just what the Beales are planning? And what role is Leon going to play down the line?

This one could run and run and run – and there are certain to be lots of twists and turns along the way. And if it means seeing a lot of Lucy on our screens in the coming months, then that is only a good thing. A very good thing

In the first of what I have no doubt will be somewhat of a regular feature, Blokes on Soaps bring a cracking screenshot of a fittie for all males and ladie lovers to perve over.

This one features EastEnders newcomer Zsa Zsa Carter, played by 20-year-old Emer Kenny. Auntie Shirley had arranged an interview with a local school headmaster in an attempt to get Zsa Zsa an education, and the teenager turned up dressed as a naughty schoolgirl, much to the delight of the Blokes on Soaps team.

Zsa Zsa is so far proving to be a bit like her aunt in her spikey, sarcastic ways and tough personality, and what with Shirley being, for want of a better term, a bit of a goer in the bedroom deparment, you can only hope that in the near future Zsa Zsa is going to turn out to be the same and we will see more pictures of this high quality.

Enjoy!
